The Challenge
The Melbourne Spine Institute, led by a globally recognized surgeon, had outgrown its legacy website. The old platform could not optimally handle their massive, varied content bank, which included interactive 3D medical models, a vast library of video testimonials, weekly surgical livestreams, and hundreds of rich blog posts.
They needed a robust, asynchronous platform that wouldn't bottleneck their video, content, and SEO teams. They also lacked visibility into patient form drop-offs, making it difficult to optimize their scheduling process or recover lost consultation leads.
The Approach
We implemented a Next.js frontend powered by a headless CMS, creating a decoupled environment where multiple departments could update media-heavy content simultaneously without breaking the site's design. We built a custom Looker Studio dashboard fed by granular Google Analytics conversion events to deeply track the patient journey.
Crucially, we added a secure, HIPAA-compliant log database within the CMS to capture both complete and incomplete consultation forms. A year after launch, we supplemented this technical foundation with extensive competitor research and AI optimization insights to guide their expansion into new clinical branches.
The Results
A year post-launch, the Institute operates with unprecedented efficiency, saving 60% of their time on content management while seeing their PageSpeed score jump from 74 to 93. The 23 new categories of tracking data have revolutionized their understanding of patient acquisition.
The HIPAA-compliant drop-off logs allowed the sales team to recover lost leads and continually refine their consultation forms for lower friction. Furthermore, our ongoing AI optimization insights have given them a massive strategic edge as they prepare for their upcoming franchise expansion.
